Summer of Austen

Hello, my lovely readers!

After posting my review of Northanger Abbey yesterday, I started reading Sense and Sensibility, and I had a fun idea. What if I make this summer’s posts Austen-themed?

"You are cordially invited to attend the Summer of Austen, a Jane Austen event, May 27 through August 29, at emilyrachellewrites.com."

For those of you waiting, I will return to my Reviews of Narnia series at summer’s end. (Sorry for the delay! Life happened.)

For now, Sense and Sensibility, Mansfield Park, and Emma are all on my to-read list for this year, and I thought it might be fun to watch some Austen movies and post about those this summer. I’m even working on setting up giveaways with Etsy shop sponsors!

Some things to look forward to during my Summer of Austen:

  • Book review of Sense and Sensibility
  • Book review of Mansfield Park
  • Book review of Emma
  • Movie/book comparisons of several Austen adaptations
  • Etsy Austen-themed item giveaways
  • My personal ranking of every Austen novel
  • Potential Austen book giveaway(s)?
  • Other Austen-esque surprises!

If you’re an author or fan of an Austen-themed or inspired book or movie, now is also the time to request any reviews or giveaways you might like to see. Let me know in the comments or send an email to emilyrachellewrites@gmail.com. I’d love to hear from you!
