Hello, my lovely readers!

I have so appreciated hearing your feedback on my Summer of Austen series. I’m having as much fun writing about all things Jane Austen as you are reading about them.

I have a bit of an unfortunate update, however. Due to unforeseen circumstances (including a fun summer job! yay!), I have fallen behind on Summer of Austen content. Last week and this week were dedicated on the schedule to Mansfield Park, which I started reading but have not yet finished. At this point I won’t be able to finish the book (Austen’s longest completed work) and catch up on all the movie and television adaptations before moving on to Pride and Prejudice next week.

Fear not: I will still finish reading and review the book by the end of this week. If I can make time for it, I’ll still review the 1999 Mansfield Park movie, too. It seems to be the best-known and most popular adaptation, and is also the only Austen adaptation currently on Netflix in America. However, my planned reviews of the Mansfield Park miniseries from PBS (2008) and BBC (1983) will have to be cut.
