Some very happy news! (Hint: he’s got four little bitty paws…)
I’ve had a very busy holiday season already, and it’s just getting started.
I spent Thanksgiving day with my family at a great-aunt’s house full of cousins and managed to come home with hand-me-down sweaters, serving platters, and a brand new Kitchen Aid food processor (!!!).
My boyfriend and I then spent that weekend at his parents’ place. I experienced my first and probably last Black Friday shopping trip. Some great deals on soap and DVDs, but so not worth those lines or the 4 a.m. wakeup. On Sunday we went to a Christmas tree farm, such a cute place and so fun, and decorated their house for Christmas. His mom sent us home with a beautiful quilted Nativity wall hanging his grandmother made and a little plush singing snowman and friends on a sled.
Also, my brother sent us a toaster oven for an early Christmas. That will definitely get much use… once we figure out where to put it.
So many new things! Our little one-bedroom is filling up rapidly. What a great problem to have, isn’t it?
The best part though?? (Besides seeing all the people, of course.) LOOK AT OUR NEW FURRY LITTLE BUDDY:
His name is Parker. He’s (formerly) my parents’ 10-year-old Maltese who needed a new home. So now he’s ours!
He’s gotten used to the balmy Georgia climate over the last several years. Between that and his arthritis and tiny little body, I decided to order him a doggie sweater, dog’s winter coat, and little puppy snow boots for Indiana winters. They arrive on Monday. He’ll look so cute in his tiny outfit!
I also added two other tiny dog sweaters to my Christmas list. They’re all so adorable, I couldn’t help myself. Besides, he’ll need something to wear on laundry day, right?
